The first part of the workshop will be an explanation of three concepts that are connected to Conscious Breathing.
1. Anatomy of breath - Provide the participants with a simple explanation about the anatomy of our respiratory system. The thesis behind this, is that if we humans understand what are the main muscles and organs involved in breathing, as well as their location in the body and the functions, we will be more easily able to bring awareness to the breath and adjust our current patterns if needed.
2. Movement and breath. The thesis is that if we align our daily movement with the breath, for example, if we stand up from the bed as we take an inhale, just like we do during yoga in Mountain pose, our body will be more supported for our entire respiratory system, rib cage , or core, and this helps with taking away the weight and pressure that we otherwise put in articulations or complementary muscles. This could significantly help with correcting posture and alleviating back and neck pain.
3. Heartbeat and breath coherence. The heart is the metronome of our symphony or body. The thesis is that by aligning or synchronizing these two, the entire body will feel more in harmony and will allow the communication between instruments (organs) to be smoother as there is not much noise, just like a band that is in tuned and on tempo, it just feels better.
After this, we will be taking the practitioners into a journey of a variety of different breathing techniques, such as circular breathing, box breathing, Wim Hof, Breath of Fire (these can vary) all of it with live music to support the process and create a collective rhythm that will allow the participants to go deeper.
The workshop will include three musicians playing live so that we are to be able to create rythms with a solid beat, as well as subtle harmonics to help the meditation and tranquil moments.
